30th Annual Strauss Festival
When: July 27 – 30
Where: Elk Grove Regional Park
We’ll be there all four nights assisting Elizabeth Pinkerton offer her books History Happened Here and We the People for sale at her table on the Festival grounds. Each night the Prelude begins at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8:15 p.m. Admission is free, and parking is $10.00.
Annual Pear Fair
When: July 30
Where: Courtland, CA
We’ll be in the Sacramento River Delta Historical Society booth which will be located in the gymnasium/theater. The Fun Runs start at 7:30 a.m. and the Pancake Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m., however the main Pear Fair opens at 9:00 a.m. and runs all day with a wide range of food and craft vendors for your enjoyment. Admission is free, and parking is $10.00.

Cool August Night
When: August 19, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Where: Hanford Ranch Winery, 13200 Loll Road, Galt, CA
A stroll down memory lane with a car show, live music, food trucks, and wine.
Annual LMML Foundation Dinner and Performance
When: September 30th, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Willow Ballroom, 10724 State Highway 160, Hood, CA
This will be the Grand Finale to the first ever Greater Elk Grove Area History Week. The evening will feature a catered dinner, wine, live music, free valet parking, vocal performances, and, the highlight of the evening, a live play reading featuring the story of the Jackson Family of Florin and Elk Grove.
